About Submissions to the U.S. Healthcare Constitution Project
The U.S. Healthcare Constitution Project (USHCP) is a collaborative, non-partisan and non-profit effort. We welcome submissions and comments from everyone. Our goal is to create a constitution for a healthcare system that is practical, effective, efficient, just and by and for the American People. Please bear in mind that this is not intended to be a partisan or political forum. Our goal is to arrive at a generally acceptable solution in spite of America's broad spectrum of opinions, not to score political points or ridicule opponents.
If you participate in this process by submitting materials to this website or to USHCP via other means or venue, you should understand that any and all materials you submit may be freely used by USHC.org and its staff or projects in an unlimited fashion and free of charge. Do not submit anything to USHCP that you consider to be confidential or proprietary.

Submitting an Article, Heatlhcare System Model, Resolution or Other Content
To submit content to the USHCP website, the first thing you need to do is ask the site moderator to grant you "author" privileges. Authorship permission will allow you to submit articles, models and other content for review and posting on the site. When you apply for authorship permission, please be sure to provide your contact information. You might also want to provide some background information about you and any organization that you might represent. We don't really care about anything other than the ideas, but other people probably will.
Once you're granted "authorship" status, you can submit whatever materials you'd like. We'll review them before posting. This process that might take a little while depending upon the relative number of submissions and moderators. When you submit something, please be sure to tell us what type of material it is (i.e., an article or commentary, a healthcare system model, a draft resolution based upon a model or whatever), and whether it's complete. You'll probably want to complete the piece in Word or some other form, and then post it into the submission form. Once the piece is submitted you can revise or change it with the website's editor tool.
To submit a proposed healthcare model for discussion, you’ll need a diagram and an accompanying explanation of how your model works. What does each component consist of? What are the rights, duties, responsibilities and limitations of each component of the system - especially patients, providers, government, payers and private insurers? You’ll also want to comment on the following:

Why do you think that this is the best or most appropriate design and implementation for the U.S. Healthcare System?

What are the advantages that it has over the other systems that seem to be the top competitors?

Is there any evidence that you can point to that supports your claims and arguments?
In response to your submission you can expect three kinds of feedback: comments supporting it, comments opposed to it, and suggestions for improvement. If you wish, you can accept some of all of these suggestions and use them to modify your model, or reject them. However if you reject them, they may still be incorporated by someone else into a variation of the original model that you originally proposed.
Draft resolutions for Healthcare Constitution language must be based upon a healthcare system model that has been published on the USHCP site.
Submitting Questions and Comments
Constructive questions and comments are at the root of any useful discussion. You may submit yours to USHC.org via mail, e-mail or directly on the website. Generally speaking, you only have to be a registered website user to participate in discussions, and special "authorship" status is not required. However all discussions on USHCP website are moderated. This means that we reserve the right to post, summarize, paraphrase, edit or reject any and all submissions based upon their content. We will attempt to only do this in the interest of clarity, brevity, non-repetition and in the course of preserving a civil and pleasant environment.
